Quando dipingo perseguo l’essenzialità di ciò che cattura la mia attenzione. Mi soffermo sul ruolo che i soggetti hanno nel mio immaginario e cerco di rappresentare l’atmosfera che lo stesso ruolo emana.
La pittura su carta è un gioco di acqua e pigmento, una sfida tra l’imponderabile casualità e la capacità di trasformarla in opportunità.
When I paint I strive to capture the essentiality of the subject. I ponder over the role that subject has in my imagination and I try to represent the mood in terms of what the role itself can generate.
Painting on paper is playing with water and pigment, a challenge between the randomness and a capacity to transform it into opportunity.
